Belhaven Terrace
is a unique opportunity for Insight Development
to show that classical and modern are not mutually
exclusive design concepts. Redefining quality levels
for converting Glasgow’s architecturally impressive
buildings into modern living space is our aim. To
make it happen required respect for the West End’s
heritage and an appreciation of the demands of modern
family living. The end result is that all our apartments
are different and each has its own distinct character.
Great homes, like great cities, are not manufactured
in factories to standard blueprints. They require
real people to struggle against the ordinary and
the mundane and that work is best achieved in teams.
The Belhaven Terrace West team realised this early
on and assembled a cast of craftsmen and professional
advisors who shared their vision. They also drew
upon friends who would help make the challenge more
enjoyable and ensure that the development was really
different.
